Eligibility Criteria
Age Limit (as on 1st August 2026)
- Minimum: 21 Years
- Maximum: 32 Years
- Born between 2nd August 1994 and 1st August 2005
Age Relaxation
- SC/ST: 5 Years
- OBC: 3 Years
- PwBD (UR): 10 Years
- PwBD (OBC): 13 Years
- PwBD (SC/ST): 15 Years
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree from a recognized University established by an Act of Parliament or State Legislature in India. Institutions declared as Deemed Universities under the UGC Act, 1956 are also acceptable. Equivalent qualifications recognized by the Government are also eligible.
2 . Candidates Appearing in Final Year
Candidates who have appeared in their final year examination and are waiting for results are also eligible to apply for the Civil Services (Pre) Examination 2026. However, such candidates must produce proof of passing the required qualification before the Interview/Personality Test stage, as per the rules of CSE 2026.

The examination consists of two stages:
- Preliminary Examination (Objective Type)
- Main Examination (Written + Interview)
