The Office of the Superintendent of Police, Chirang, Kajalgaon, has released an official advertisement for the recruitment of 03 Data Entry Operators (DEO) under the CID, Assam for the CCTNS Project. This is a great opportunity for eligible candidates to work on a contractual basis at different Police Stations and District Judicial Court in Chirang District.

🎓 Educational Qualification
- Passed 12th with Diploma/Degree in Computer Application from a recognized institute (approved by AICTE/UGC).
- Proficiency in English and Assamese typing is required.
- Minimum typing speed of 30 words per minute in Assamese & English.
⭐ Desirable Qualification
- Prior experience as a DEO in Govt. institutions or projects like CCTNS will be given preference.
👥 Age Limit
- Minimum: 18 years
- Maximum: 40 years

🕒 Period of Engagement
- Initially for 1 year, renewable based on performance.
- Performance reviewed quarterly by CID Assam.
- Categorization: Excellent, Very Good, Good, Average, Poor.
- Poor/Below Average DEOs may face contract termination.
🛠️ Duties of DEO
- Data entry in CCTNS/iFSL/e-Prosecution applications.
- Daily updates of police station data.
- Coordination with CCTNS teams & officials.
💰 Pay Scale
- ₹20,000/- per month (fixed).
- 3% annual increment based on satisfactory performance.
🌴 Leave Details
- Eligible for Casual Leave (CL), Earned Leave (EL), and Medical Leave per Assam Government norms.
📝 Selection Process
- Written Test (MCQ – 60 mins)
– Subjects: Computer skills, Aptitude, GK
– Qualifying Marks: 50% - Typing Test
– Speed: 30 WPM (English & Assamese)
– Marks: 30 - Interview
– Marks: 10 - Final Merit List
– Based on performance in Written + Typing + Interview
