Vacancy Details (Trade-wise)
Vacancies are available in multiple trades such as Electrician, Wireman, Welder, Fitter, Engineering Drawing, Cutting & Sewing, COPA, Draughtsman (Civil/Mechanical), Dress Making, IT & ESM, Machinist, Mechanic (Diesel/Electronics/Tractor/Motor Vehicle), Mechanical Instrument, Plumber, Secretarial Practices, Refrigeration & Air Conditioning, and Turner.
Pay Scale
Selected candidates will receive a pay band of ₹14,000 to ₹70,000 (PB-2) with a Grade Pay of ₹6800/- plus other allowances as per Assam Government rules.
Eligibility Criteria
- Citizenship: Must be an Indian Citizen.
- Age Limit: 18 to 40 years as on 01/01/2025.
- SC/ST: 5 years relaxation
- OBC/MOBC: 3 years
- Ex-Serviceman: 2 years
- PwD: 10 years
- Educational Qualification:
- Passed HSLC or equivalent examination.
- Possess National Apprenticeship Certificate (NAC) or National Trade Certificate (NTC) in relevant trade.
- One year Industrial/Teaching experience desirable.
- Employment Exchange Registration: Must have a valid registration in Assam.
- Application Fee: No fee required.

Selection Process
- Phase I – Written Test:
- 100 Marks (MCQ based, 2 hours, no negative marking)
- Subject Knowledge: 60 marks
- General English: 10 marks
- General Knowledge: 15 marks
- Basic Digital Literacy: 15 marks
- Phase II – Skill Test:
- Shortlisted candidates (1:4 ratio) will appear for Skill Test in Guwahati.
- Skill Test carries 50 marks.
- Verification of original documents will be done before the Skill Test.
Final Selection: Based on combined marks in Written Test and Skill Test. The merit list will remain valid for 12 months.
