CBSE CTET Notification 2026 – Apply Online for CTET September 2026
The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has officially released the notification for CTET September 2026. Candidates who want to become teachers in schools can apply online for the Central Teacher Eligibility Test (CTET).

CTET 2026 Eligibility Criteria
Candidates must fulfill the educational qualification fixed by the National Council for Teacher Education.
For Classes I to V (Primary Stage)
Candidates should have one of the following qualifications:
- Senior Secondary with minimum 50% marks and 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education.
- Senior Secondary with 45% marks and Diploma in Elementary Education as per NCTE norms.
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and pursuing/final year of 4-year Bachelor of Elementary Education (B.El.Ed).
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and Diploma in Education (Special Education).
- Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed degree.
For Classes VI to VIII (Elementary Stage)
Candidates should have:
- Graduation with 2-year Diploma in Elementary Education, OR
- Graduation with 50% marks and B.Ed, OR
- Graduation with 45% marks and B.Ed as per NCTE rules, OR
- Senior Secondary with 50% marks and B.El.Ed / B.A.Ed / B.Sc.Ed, OR
- Graduation with Special Education B.Ed.
