Eligibility Criteria
Before applying, candidates should check the required educational qualification, age and experience.
Educational Qualification
Candidates must have a Bachelor’s Degree in any discipline from a recognized University or Institution.
Required Work Experience
Candidates must have at least 1 year of post-qualification experience as an Officer in a Scheduled Commercial Bank included in the Second Schedule of the Reserve Bank of India.
Additional Certifications
The following certifications are preferred:
- IC 38 – Insurance Institute of India
- NISM Series V-A – Mutual Fund Distributors Certification Examination
- NISM Series XXI-A – Portfolio Management Services (PMS) Distributors Certification Examination
- NISM Series XIII – Common Derivatives Certification Examination
Local Language
Candidates must know the local language of the State for which they are applying.
They should be able to:
- Read the language
- Write the language
- Speak the language
- Understand the language
Age Limit
The candidate’s age should be between 21 and 30 years as on 1 August 2026.
Age relaxation will be available to eligible reserved-category candidates as per the rules.

Bank of Baroda LBO Selection Process
Candidates for the Local Bank Officer post will be selected through the following stages:
- Online Examination
- Group Discussion (GD) / Personal Interview (PI), wherever applicable
- Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT)
- Final Selection
The Bank may also conduct a psychometric test or any other suitable test as part of the selection process.
Online Examination
The online test will contain 120 questions for 120 marks and will be conducted for 120 minutes.

Negative Marking: For every wrong answer, 0.25 marks will be deducted.

Group Discussion / Personal Interview
Candidates who qualify in the online examination may be shortlisted for Group Discussion and/or Personal Interview based on the Bank’s prescribed cut-off and the number of available vacancies.
Candidates must obtain the required minimum marks in the GD/PI:
- General Category: 60%
- Reserved Category: 55%
Candidates who do not qualify in the GD/PI will not be considered for final selection.
Local Language Proficiency Test
Candidates shortlisted after the online examination will have to qualify in the Local Language Proficiency Test (LPT).
Candidates must be able to read, write, speak and understand the local language of the State for which they have applied.
However, candidates who studied the required local language as a subject in Class 10th or 12th and can show the relevant marksheet/certificate may be exempted from the language test.
